FAQ - Questions - Reviews on Evo Racing Seats
- Mitsubishi EVO . low as possible racing seat?...?
im 6'4" and i was wondering what is the best way or what seat , rail combo will be the lowest. i was thinking of welding the seat to the floor with side mounts, would this work.? tried sitting in the back seats without the front ones but im too short to reach the pedals that way,. thing is. i fit fine in the car, its just that i like to sit really low. so i can barely see over the dash....
A I know Bride makes Seats that are lower then normal with their seat rails that mount to the side not like usual one that mount to the bottom this gives a lower profile and with the lower thickness seats its quite a bit lower then stock. You can look for aftermarket seat rails for the Recaros but the thing is anything that is usually a direct bolt on will be the same height and basically the same as the stock ones because mitsu uses the recaro seat rails.

- Opinions/Tips/Comments on my evo x project?
Well, I plan on getting a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR... To start off, I want to get: Agency Power Ti Tip Dual Cat-back Exhaust, Agency Power Blow Off Valve, Agency Power Stainless Steel Header, AMS Front Mount Intercooler with AMS Polished Upper Intercooler Pipe and Hot Pipe and AMS EVO X Lower Intercooler Pipe, AMS Performance Polished Intake, Boomba Racing 75mm Natural Aluminum Throttle Body,Spec Clutches & Flywheels SPEC Stage 2+, ACT Pro Lite Flywheel, Cobb Tuning Short Shifter, AMS clutch line, Brembo Gran Turismo Brakes, TEIN Ultimate Spec Circuit Master Super Racing with EDFC, TEIN Racing Springs, TEIN Hood Dampers, TEIN Performance Bar,Seibon Carbon Fiber Fenders, Seibon OEM Carbon Fiber Front Doors, Seibon OEM Carbon Fiber Rear Doors, Seibon OEM Carbon Trunk, Seibon OEM Carbon Fiber Side Skirts, Seibon Carbon Fiber OEM Style Hood, AMS Carbon Fiber Roof, AMS Lexan Window Kit (race fitment), AMS carbon fiber headlight delete covers. Yes i know it's a big list, but I'd want to achieve all of this all at the same time, what do you think about it? I'm looking for opinions, tips, suggestions, etc... This is just preformance, from here id move to the enterior, better and lighter racing seats, some audio/entertainment installs...
A That is a man's list right there. I would start with suspension before the power adders. You can't use the extra power if your car's handling isn't up to spec. After the suspension, I would move on to the brakes. It looks like you are going for a racing spec car, but even considering that, some good pads, rotors and stainless lines should do the job. I wouldn't go for the full kit right off the bat. It's brutally expensive and the results aren't much better than a stock upgrade. Evos have good brakes anyway. After that, you are looking good my friend. Best of luck to you.
